What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga Therapy is when an experienced Yoga teacher or qualified Yoga Therapist   assists a person to overcome the discomforts of specific conditions, or generally improve physical, mental and spiritual health on a 'one on one' basis, using tools and providing advice based on yogic principles.Yoga therapy assisting

It is about assisting the individual, rather than focusing on the condition and the tools used can range from asanas (postures), pranayama (breath work), relaxation, meditataion, dietary advice, lifestyle counselling and self-development. Our directors Leigh and Heather are both qualified Yoga Therapists with many years of experience in helping people improve their physical and emotional well-being

In Yoga Therapy sessions, we are able to give you 100% of our attention and provide a safe space for you to open and explore a variety of issues associated with your well-being and happiness.

Yoga Therapy Training

The Australian Institute of Yoga Therapy conducts Australia's only accredited training program in Yoga Therapy. The Graduate Certificate in Yoga Therapy    provides a pathway for experienced Yoga teachers to extend their scope of practice by becoming a Yoga Therapist.

This accredited course is offered in conjuction with the Centre for Adult Education (CAE), which is one of Australia's most respected providers of Adult learning.
